1. Introduction

Welcome to The Design House Co. These Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern all services provided by The Design House Co through our website, social media platforms (including Facebook), and direct communication channels.

By placing an order, making a payment, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Services Provided

The Design House Co provides graphic design services, including but not limited to:

  • Logo design

  • Branding and brand identity packages

  • Social media graphics

  • Print design (flyers, brochures, business cards, etc.)

  • Marketing materials

  • Digital content creation

We reserve the right to refuse any project that is deemed inappropriate, unlawful, offensive, or outside our scope of services.

3. Ordering Designs

Orders may be placed via:

  • Direct message (Facebook/Instagram)

  • Email

  • Website contact form

  • Any other official communication channel listed by The Design House Co

An order is considered confirmed only once:

  1. A written agreement (email/message confirmation) has been received, and

  2. The required deposit or full payment has been made.

4. Information Required Upon Ordering

To begin your project, you must provide:

  • Full name and business name (if applicable)

  • Contact email and phone number

  • Detailed project brief

  • Preferred styles, colours, fonts (if any)

  • Required dimensions or formats

  • Deadline requirements

  • Any reference materials or inspiration

Failure to provide complete information may delay turnaround times.

5. Contact Details Required from Customer

Customers must provide:

  • Full legal name

  • Valid email address

  • Contact telephone number

  • Billing address (for invoicing purposes)

The Design House Co is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect contact information.

6. Quotes & Pricing

  • All quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Pricing is based on the scope of work agreed upon at the time of quotation.

  • Any additional work outside the agreed scope will be charged separately.

  • Prices are subject to change without notice but will not affect confirmed and paid projects.

Custom quotes are provided based on project complexity, timeline, and deliverables.

7. Ordering & Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit (see Section 8) is required to secure your booking.

  • The remaining balance must be paid before final files are delivered.

  • Payments are accepted via Bank Transfer.

  • No final files will be released until full payment has cleared.

8. Deposit Policy

  • A minimum 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins.

  • Deposits secure your place in our schedule.

  • Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances unless The Design House Co cancels the project.

9. Invoicing & Billing

  • An invoice will be issued upon project confirmation.

  • Payment terms will be clearly stated on the invoice.

  • Late payments may result in project delays.

  • The Design House Co reserves the right to charge late payment fees where applicable.

All invoices must be paid in full before final design files are released.

10. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide clear instructions and required materials

  • Respond to proofs and communications promptly

  • Ensure all provided content (text, images, logos) is legally owned or licensed

  • Proofread all content before approval

The Design House Co is not responsible for errors approved by the client.

11. Turnaround Times & Revision Policy

Turnaround times vary depending on project scope and workload. Estimated timelines will be provided at booking.

  • Standard turnaround begins once deposit and full project information are received.

  • Timelines may extend if client feedback is delayed.

Revisions:

  • Each package includes a set number of revisions (specified in your quote).

  • Additional revisions will be charged at an hourly rate.

  • Major changes to the original brief may be treated as a new project.

12. Communication & Business Hours

Business Hours:
Monday - Friday: 6:00am - 8:00am & 17:30pm - 21:00pm

Saturday - 8:00am - 21:00pm

Sunday - 9:00 - 20:00

Messages received outside business hours will be responded to during the next working day.

All communication should remain professional and respectful. The Design House Co reserves the right to terminate services in cases of abusive or inappropriate behaviour.

13. Delivery Timings

Final files will be delivered digitally via one of the following options:

  • Email

  • Secure download link

Delivery occurs only after full payment has been received.

The Design House Co is not responsible for delays caused by internet service providers, email filtering, or incorrect email addresses.

14. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • If a client cancels after work has commenced, no refund will be issued for completed work.

  • If cancellation occurs before work begins (but after deposit), the deposit remains non-refundable.

  • No refunds will be issued for completed and approved work.

15. Design Usage & Ownership

Ownership of final approved designs transfers to the client only after full payment is received.

The Design House Co retains the right to:

  • Display completed work in portfolios and marketing materials

  • Share designs on social media unless otherwise agreed in writing

Editable source files remain the property of The Design House Co unless explicitly purchased.

16. Intellectual Property & Design Protection Policy

  • All preliminary concepts remain the intellectual property of The Design House Co.

  • Clients may not use, reproduce, or distribute draft concepts that were not approved and paid for.

  • The Design House Co is not responsible for trademark checks unless explicitly requested.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to ensure their final design does not infringe on existing trademarks.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, or resale of designs is strictly prohibited.

17. Non-Internal Supply of Printed Products

If The Design House Co arranges printing through third-party suppliers:

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by the printer.

  • Colour variations may occur due to printing processes.

  • We are not liable for printing errors once artwork has been approved by the client.

All printing timelines are estimates provided by third-party suppliers.

18. File Storage & Archiving

The Design House Co will retain final project files for a limited period (6 months).
After this time, retrieval may not be possible or may incur a fee.

Clients are responsible for securely storing their final files.

19. Limitation of Liability

The Design House Co shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of profits

  • Indirect or consequential damages

  • Business losses resulting from design use

Total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the service provided.

20. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including illness, natural disasters, technical failures, or other unforeseen events.

21. Amendments

The Design House Co reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on our website.
